The Passionground were the all women band that Shannon was in before she founded Seize The Day with Theo. Their music is fast and dancy, a mixture of grunge and pop, and finally their CD has been released... Hope you enjoy it!

"It was always our intention to be an all girl band; It was easier to explore, to be rubbish and to cheer each other on, and yes, very slowly we ‘got good’.

"We were called 'Red Rag' in those days and when Jackie and Jane joined (women who could already play their instruments!!) ...We became 'The Siren'.

"We changed our name to 'Fur' when one-word names became trendy and then became 'The Passionground' when they no longer were...

"Eight years of three rehearsals a week gives you plenty of time to get to know each other. There was a lot of love, support, respect and understanding in the Passionground. And...a complete inability to cope with even the slightest criticism...!

"These songs are our attempt to share with you our emotional, political and spiritual beliefs. We hope they touch you, ‘cos they sure touched us!

"Being in an all women band has changed who we are and made us stronger... And we know there are still battles to be fought for and on behalf of women. "We send you all our love and thanks for your brave choices and the battles you may fight.
